Out with the old, in with the new... and keeping the gifts
(new art part 5/5)
Transition... Closing a chapter... Opening a new one... Trusting the never-ending cycles of time and life.
Learning from what has passed, the good, the beauty, the gifts... And also from the seemingly not-so-good, the hardships, the disappointments, the everyday battles, even the trauma.
Letting go of the past, softly.
Keeping the gifts, the teachings that brought new growth, new strength, renewed purpose. And releasing what is no longer serving us, letting it disolve into the mist of time.
Some we will forget, and that's OK. Some we will put away on the shelves of memory, for now, for a little while or forever. That's OK too.
Some we will cherish and go back to with fondness, bringing back that extra little sparkle in our eyes. Some will be the stepping stones that we can rely on to move forward, to walk our path with that much more wisdom and confidence, that much more compassion and self-love, that much more hope and enthusiasm, that much more gratitude and joy.
As we stand on the threshold of a brand new year, we breathe out the old, and breathe in the new. The past no longer exists, and the future isn't born yet. All there really is is Now, Here, and the desires in our hearts that will create our new reality, soon, if we let them, if we learn to just allow...
Let's make a wish...
With all my wishes of love, abundance, well-being, peace and joy for the New Year, and all my gratitude for your presence by my side on this art-and-soul journey.
