There is magic everywhere when we remember to look for it. In the curl of a fallen leaf, the delicate shape of a seed pod, a feather on our path, a scrap of old paper, the faded colors of something timeworn and loved. So much of being an artist is simply noticing.

Allowing yourself to be a beginner again is so good for the soul. Textile art has always been a huge inspiration to me, and I’m finally taking the time to try my hand at stitching, deliciously sloooowly…

It feels very soothing to me, this idea that everything is going to be OK, that it’s all taken care of, that higher forces are protecting me, watching over me, keeping me safe when I feel vulnerable, small, tired… This is the message of this new little soul.

Weaving is such an ancient, universal process. It is gentle and intuitive, with a soft, meditative rhythm that makes you slow down and invites day-dreaming... I love it so much and I'm excited to share it in a brand new class called "Woven Dreams"!

Today I'm sharing the story behind the creation of my new class Little Book of Whispers... It is a journey, a quiet one, a gentle one, born in little pockets of time amidst the roars of the world. A little bubble of stillness to reconnect with the not-so-loud part of ourselves and create beauty from this sacred and fragile inner place.
